Insalata mista with fried vendace and grilled mackerels – Spices, nuts and tea from Iran

Boys have Autumn break from school. This year we decided to stay home as my husband has been travelling quite a lot. (He just came back from Iran, and brought me nuts, Iranian saffron and tea.) Also my 7 seater's 4WD broke which is going to cost me a mint, so absolutely no holiday travels... but I am never broke enough not to prepare a decent dinner. 😄 Tonight I fried some vendace, grilled couple of mackerels and prepared a healthy salad with red onions, cherry tomatoes, olives, lettuce, rucola, evoo, etc.
